Join the Mount Rogers Appalachian Trail Club (MRATC), the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and the Konnarock Trail Crew for two days of trail work in the Grayson Highlands! For the third year, these groups will partner to host Mount Rogers High Country Hardcore, which will work in Southwest Virginia near Massie Gap. If you’re interested, you’ll need to sign up during Trail Days in Damascus at the MRATC booth. They’ll have a volunteer signup sheet along with some paperwork you’ll need to complete.
Hardcore volunteers will convene on Sunday, May 20 in Damascus (after signing up at the MRATC booth earlier in the week) and carpool up to the project trailhead in the Grayson Highlands State Park. We’ll work Sunday and Monday, and you’ll even get dinner Sunday and Monday nights courtesy of the MRATC! Camping will be in a big field on Big Spring Ridge in Grayson Highlands State Park.
